Ill chip in and say the is a great bit of kit, great sound, great function and I would say my elepfant has much better slow speed performance with the SLU than the tamiya dmd. I think the half the price of tamiya guts might be pushing it a bit though, tamiyas about £210 to the £160 of an SLU (although the slu does come with ir emiter and apple)
