Race for the cure
May 5th and 6th the Sacramento area Modelers are sponsoring a race to benifit childrens cancer reserch. This one means alot to me because my soon to be mother-in law recently had a bout with breast cancer. She was fortunate to have dicovered it early and at this time is cancer free. To show just what this dear woman means to me and the rest of the family, I have decided to build an airplane exclusively for this event. I found this Cassutt kit on Ebay. The kit was manufactured in the mid '80's in Illinois. I am at the finishing stages now. The color scheme is mainly white. The wings and tail will have pink cancer ribbons bearing each grandchild's name per ribbon. My mother-inlaw will be present at the race but will be thinking I am flying a different airplane. Before the race begins she will be presented with the airplane. After the race the airplane will be retired and hung in her sewing room.
