Default Race for the cure

May 5th and 6th the Sacramento area Modelers are sponsoring a race to benifit childrens cancer reserch. This one means alot to me because my soon to be mother-in law recently had a bout with breast cancer. She was fortunate to have dicovered it early and at this time is cancer free. To show just what this dear woman means to me and the rest of the family, I have decided to build an airplane exclusively for this event. I found this Cassutt kit on Ebay. The kit was manufactured in the mid '80's in Illinois. I am at the finishing stages now. The color scheme is mainly white. The wings and tail will have pink cancer ribbons bearing each grandchild's name per ribbon. My mother-inlaw will be present at the race but will be thinking I am flying a different airplane. Before the race begins she will be presented with the airplane. After the race the airplane will be retired and hung in her sewing room.

Right on dude!

I didn't do anything as cool as you but last November I grew a hideous mustache to remember by buddy who died of rectal cancer...and plan to do it again this year.

Movember=grow some hair for men's health awareness.

OK Guys, the race is just UNDER a month away and it's CD is getting a little nervous since there hasn't been a lot of registration activity. If you plan on coming please reach out to the CD and pre-register. I know JR has spent a lot of time and energy to get the ball rolling on this. So anyone interested in racing please let him know. You can pre-register at the SAM website under events...

I'm there both days and already pre redigestered as well. This is a great cause and it requires YOUR ATTENDANCE!! I would like to see the place jam packed. Thanks JR and Crew for all that you have done to try and make this BIG!

What the hell is "redigestered"? Sounds like you may need some Rolaids for that!

That's because Dave is so fast he is actually on the fringe of another dimention. This " Dimention bordering " as it is called tends to distort sounds so words may sound different. . This is why at times his red P47 may appear to be pink. Quite fitting for this event.
