Default RE: Venus II

Well after two years of searching and searching my good friend CJ found me a bran new in the box Venus II in Henderson NC http://www.hendersonvillehobbyhouse.com/. After a few days of waiting the box showed up at my front door unhurt and the plane contents inside the box was unhurt and in excellent condition. I just wish i could find a way when the plane was built from the factory so i can date the inside when it was made and when i assembled it and flown it. Mine is powered with a Saito 1.15 and i added no extra weight what so ever i just moved the battery from the former that was next to the tank to more closer to the throttle servo and the servos are in the tail. I may have to get me a cowling from Tower and get me a OS 120ax just to see what the hype is all about with that motor and a pitts muffler so if i get a wild hair I can change motors lol. But needless to say i am very pleased with the power and handling with the plane and motor combo that i currently have. I now have two of the venus 40's one built as it comes out of the box the other 40 size i retrofitted it with pneumatic retracts and OS 50 sx power. One big venus family!
