Default Evolution Engine sound's odd

I have just installed an Evolution .45 engine in a trainer...The engine was new in the box and never installed before although I understand that they are test runned at the factory and set up....Engine started by hand and ran smooth and quiet with that three bladed prop....after about 3 minutes I stop the engine and tested the prop nut , etc. after restarting I noticed a high pitched sound like metal to metal....The higher the rpm's the higher the pitch...I have no experience with bearings freezing up, etc but this has an odd sound...Could this be the problem since the engine has been in the box over a year and was factory runned and maybe not stored with after run oil....I really do not know...One other thing....I hand started this engine as it did not have the nose cone installed although it had the back plate for the nose cone...Could it cause a high pitch sound? Thanks..Richard
