Default ZDZ80 Piston Failure

Geo Manning ?
I am currently fly one of the old Buckers with a ZDZ60 -(one that Rojecki flew in 1990 -)
I know this means nothing to others - but I thot Geo was gone a racin--
Ralph - warranties are the "hard line" most companies have to hold .
How many times have YOU seen an engine /carb /ignition which had a problem - and the owner swore that he never opened it???
Even with his thumbprint on the coil/piston?
Why the clip failed on Mike's 80 is pure speculation -till it is thoroughly examined.
Mike is an engineer and I suspect he did not do the damage -BUT f you want a warranty honored - try to contain yourself . comply with the warranty terms -Even if you do "peek" in many cases there is good faith repair work provided.
I have been on the other side of this issue and the "I did not touch it - and I never did nuthin - just driving 30 mph " stuff offered is sometimes so outlandish - you are stunned that people would even try .
I always gave the benifit of the doubt.
