Zagnut have you ever raise the compression on these type motors? if so did it do much?

i have a the chrome one as for the rod i can stretch the rod very easy but raising the bearing was my second option I was wondering if raising the compression would make a difference .02"
or more ?? as for porting i was asking before i spend the time to measure timing as for time what is the best all round timing for these type motors? i might just leave it alone !
