Grey Beard, not sure what you were shown, but the switch on my older ESC is about 3/8 inch long by 3/16 wide. it is a very small switch. It will not let the ESC arm while the switch is in the off position. It is an older KMS brushless ESC. If i get a chance I will take a picture if you want.

What I was shown was more of a plug. You install the female into the plane and when your ready to fly you plug in the male and the battery made contact. I'mnot an electric guy at all so when I have questions I go to the Wattflyer forum. I usually only have one electric plane in operation at any time. At this time I have the small Aeroworks 260 Extra in operation and the switch I was shown was way too big for this type of plane. A 1/4 ounce of weight throws off the CG on this plane but it's a super flying machine.
