Can't think of any brand of radio that can't fly a plane a lot farther then I can see it. Radio's are a personal choice and over the years I have seen some pretty strange reasons why people choose what they do. I have been using the same radio for a couple of decades, I have changed it over to 2.4 with a new module but that just says how much I like my radio!! I'm also not brand loyal, If I was to buy a new radio tomorrow it would be what John is using!!! It's the brand I started with by the way. I still have that radio too!!
