Every other piece of electronics we have in these planes are mounted in rubber to keep the vibrations from killing them. I can't see these gear living very long(which they haven't been) without some sort of isolation. I guess the difference with the Robarts will be that the control board will be mounted in the plane and not on each gear unit. That could help if the motor wires are strain relieved properly.
For now, I will stick with mechanical or pneumatic gear.
