Default RE: Spectrum receivers

ORIGINAL: levram1

What is the difference between DSM2 and DSMX? Am I limited as to which receivers I can use with DSMX? (Spektrum DX 8)
DSMX supports dual frequency hopping and telemetry support.

DSM2 uses two broadband frequency ranges that are selected as the unit starts up and discovers what is in use.

DSMX also provides DSM and DSM2 backwards compatibility.

So you can use any of the DSM/DSM2 Orange receivers as well as any of the 2.4ghz DSM/DSM2 or DSMX Spectrum or JR receivers.

You have quite a bit of flexiility with your TX.
