Default RE: First Electric

Depends on what you want to do and where you want to go with it. Most importantly how much do you have to spend?

If you dont mind doing initial work/upgrades and getting the boat a little cheaper from the start the Pursuit from Hobby King is good value. If you want to spend a little more and not deal with the headache there are some upgraded ones available from OSE or Kintec. Also Ray Fullers has been putting out some hulls minus electrics that look mighty nice for around $250.

If you want something plug and play the SV27R is a known good product. Its not perfect, but a good solid base to start your boating hobby.

Personally I started with a smaller (25") chinese fiberglass hull w/hardware. I burned up the motor on first run and the ESC on second run. I then upgraded the electrics and had a much better time. I advise this path because 1) you learns more 2) your going to do this anyhow.
