Your answer raises a question. There is a notable performance loss between a 40:1 and 32:1 so how much more loss at 16:1?
performance loss between 32:1 and 40:1 ????????? maybe you just needed to retune it. there is no power loss at these sorts of oil ratios in fact it can even be argued you will gain power...... search for gordon jennings more is less less is more etc etc article. I have tested from 30:1 to 50:1 ratios and ended up now on always running 35:1 from run -in and always..... its a very debatable topic, but power loss is not a good argument...
