Thanks Mike, Yes I have seen that used. The reason behind wanting to cast the wheels is that, I plan on filling the ten holes on the originals and then reshaping to the 6 hole half moon pattern of the WWII type wheels, and I figured instead of doing all that work on all the wheels, just do the work on one or two and then cast the rest, which might save a lot of time
Or not sweat the details and leave the original wheels the way that they are, and just spray them the olive drab. And the other option I thought of was to make the pattern I'm talking about.... making sort of a "cover" or hubcap that I would then just glue over the top of the originals to give it that WWII look.
