OK , I have to remove the existing stab structure that was built like a tank. Looks like 3/8ths plywood that was epoxied and screwed into the fuse. This was adding a tremendous amount of weight in the back end that translates to lbs. of lead in the nose. A lose lose proposition.
The new stab is so much lighter. To remove the structure I cut the whole top of the stab section where the rudder sits. This is not really structural but mostly filler sheets. Then unscrewed the ply plate and popped it up from the fuse. Before I removed any structures I extended two reference lines from the existing stab plate. This gives me the Zero degree incidence angles. I blocked up the fuse until I was Zero at the reference lines. Then sanded in a new stab saddle to match the stab. Sanded the saddle until I was Zero degrees on my Incidence meter. Now my stab is Zero Zero to the front wing. All should be good. I will finalize everything before I glue it on by mounting the wing . Checking the wing incidence and Zeroing the stab to the wing.

If you look closely the first picture of my incidence meter reads - 2 degrees, I had to sand the back end of the saddle down and brought it to Zero degrees in the second pic. Remember the original saddle was completely flat, I had to sand in an airfoil.
