What kind of speeds are people getting out of the Makara, Apache hulls?
yer i know pipes wont make a great deal of diffrence but i just like to experiment with different set ups!
I hit 52 with mine on GPS with the 30.5cc big bore. Try not to get too hung up on top speed on these, set it up for good acceleration off the turns and stability and you will have a great time with it, it is the one boat of mine that just runs in any weather, great fun and never get bored with it.
Pipes actually do make a good deal of difference. One thing to be wary of if you run the top on yours is heat build up from the pipe is significant, I wrapped my pipe in fibre rope to reduce the effects, plenty of ventilation needed.
