I kind of wondered about quieting this thing down myself.

I was thinking of attaching some type of high temp gasket material to the back plate of the muffler, and doing something to the outlet tubes.

Maybe take a piece of tubing the diameter of the inner hole on the tone insert and cross drilling holes in it, then braze it to the tone insert, wrap it in glass pack, tied on with some safety wire...
