It's still the same thing. You have to tach them in the air at the speed you fly. Still, everything is a tradeoff with components. You will always find exceptions to any rule that this prop is better, etc. Just the shape of a cowl may make the MA better than the APC you are testing, etc. Few of us go to those lengths. We have a handful of props that we are familiar with, and we use those where they seem best.
