Pictures below of my Curare I had back in 1978-1981. Rossi 60 FI RC with original Rossi pipe, Carl Goldberg retracts, 7 servos, EK logictrol super pro 7 ch radio. Built from Model Airplane News plan.
About spoiler on Curare:
I used not the spoiler itself (the part that extended upwards behind the "flaps"). I used mine as on control line plane: elevator up and flap down, elevator down and flap up.
In 1977 TOC Hanno Prettner used another type of spoiler on his Curare, see pictures below.
I remember one top flier in my country (Benny Kjellgren) back in 1978 had a short build article about his Curare (built from Model Airplane News plan) in our national model flying federation magazine (number 4 1978) and he had contacted Hanno Prettner about engine right thrust and down thrust and got answer 1.5 degree right and 1.0 degree down, because it is not samevalue on allpublished plans of Curare. In the article it was also mentioned some other valuable things like elevator throw of 5-6 millimeter up and same downis enough, rudder throw 40 mm left, same right. V-shape on wing same as on drawing, 75 mm. Weight of his plane 3475 gram with 7 servos, building time about 200 hours.
