Eddiec I fly a 550 for my day job. I powered the Supercub with an OS 160FX It is more engine than it needs but it fit in the cowl was relatively inexpensive. I think it would be a good powerplant for float flying. The only dead stick I ever had with it was when I ran it out of gas. I have no idea of the weight but I think it is a fairly heavy model. It flies well though. Would make a good candidate for float flying.
