<font size="3"><font face="" new="" times="">I built mine from plans&hellip; not the kit.<span> </span>(I like a challenge).<span> </span>Turned out real nice.<span> </span></font></font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3" face="" new="" times="">I have had it for 6 years now.<span> </span>I flew it for a long time with an OS .46FX on the tail.<span> </span>It is a heavy motor and it did require me adding a bit of weight in the nose.<span> </span>It flew like a dream and all but landed it self.</font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3"><font face="" new="" times="">I then decided I wanted to make it into a hot rod.<span> </span>Adding a bigger engine was not an option due to the aft CG.<span> </span>So what was a fella with the need for speed to do?<span> </span></font></font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3" face="" new="" times="">I added another OS .46FX to the nose!<span> </span>I traded dead weight for power.<span> </span>The engine was just about perfect to put the CG spot on.</font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3"><font face="" new="" times="">I wish I had a camera at the field the first time I flew my new &ldquo;twin&rdquo; North Star.<span> </span>Not to document the flight, but to capture the faces of the ol&rsquo; timers who just knew this thing was not going to fly.<span> </span></font></font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3" face="" new="" times="">As I taxied out, every one else landed to give this &lsquo;concept plane&rsquo; free run of the air space!</font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3" face="" new="" times="">It sounded awesome with both engines running and it flew and landed exactly as it did before because the weight had not changed.<span> </span>The take off role was almost not needed as this thing leaps into the air as soon as you put the power to it.<span> </span>It is fast&hellip; Real fast and it will climb vertical out of sight.</font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3" face="" new="" times="">I have played with dead stick landings with it and it does require a steep decent to maintain air speed.<span> </span>The thing is loaded with drag with two props hanging out there and that huge wing.<span> </span>It will fly, take off and land all day long on one engine as well. <span></span>(Front or Back)</font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3" face="" new="" times="">This is one of my favorite planes!!!</font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

<font size="3" face="" new="" times="">I want to build a giant scale North Star some day.</font></p>

<o><font size="3" face="" new="" times=""></font></o></p>

SO WHAT ABOUT ON THE WATER ?

Water landing is NOTan option... hahaha
