Default 2 piece for me

Hello, I have glued my horizontal together but have left the main wing in 2 pieces. I've heard different thoughts on whether or not to use the 2 small bolts they give you to hold the wing together. One guy at the field does not...he says the 2 dowels/2 mounting screws and the spars should be enough.
I use the 2 bolts and the small aluminum angles. I did not use them one day and substituted zip ties instead. I now have more dihedral than I started with
I straightened my spar as far as I could feel comfortable with (I hate bending aluminum--afraid it is getting weaker) and use the bolts always. I think I'll try to find some aluminum tube 7075 at T6 hardness and use that for a spar. My spar measures 1.015" and the .015 makes me nervous. I don't think I'll find one that size, probably only 1.000 which would be slightly loose.
I'm running a Moki 2.10, APC 18x12 at 8500rpm, and the plane weighs just under 17#
