I love this plane and I fly it all the time, but it has a low stall speed and is light. I'm not sure I would recommend for a heavy wind. One thing is for sure. You could bring it in at a stand still with a good headwind, but if the wind is gusty or a cross wind it could be a real nightmare. I'd go for a larger heavier plane if you want a wind penetrator IMHO.
