In about 1983, I lost a Sweet Stik. Spent many hours searching without
success. It sure feels funny to have a transmitter in your
hand and no airplane to go back home. Anyway, several weeks later,
I got a call from a fella, he had been fishing and found the Stik on a bank
of the Tennessee river, removed the wing (held on with rubber bands) and
found my name and phone # inside. We met up and I retrieved the
plane, offered him some $$ which he declined. The plane was way too
waterlogged, Kraft Sport Series radio was toast but I saved the landing gear
and Fox 40 Deluxe.
