I've tried it and don't recommend it. I also tried the hair dryer and don't recommend it either. Then my wife got a polymer clay heater and it was the same is the Hobbico (?)Heat Gun and I've been happyw ith it. However, I have been using a standard clothes iron for over 10 years and have been very, very happy with it. I just had to keep it away from my daughter!
