I use an 1800 ma 7.4V Lipo on the ignition without a regulator. The engine can handle 7.4 volts no problem. Love the engine, very dependable. I use Stihl HD synthetic 50:1 ratio using 93 octane gas.
The engine will run best with a little more oil, like 3% (1:33). MVVS prescribes 1:40
