David, I think Solartex is a great choice, I'll be using it on this build as well. If you only have to paint the cowl and some other parts such as your landing gear you may want to consider the rattle can that Top Flight makes, it's called LustreKote paint and it comes in Cub yellow. I've used these paints before with some pretty impressive results. May be worth the 7 or 8 bucks to see if it will match the Cub yellow Solartex. just an idea....
Waiting for the glue to dry on the rib reinforcements, will post some photos later this evening.
