I've found proper scale pilots to be a bit hard to come by depending on the scale of the aircraft. Perhaps I'm a bit more picky then most but I, like you, enjoy a pilot that looks good vs. throwing something in the drivers seat. That being said, I haveplaced some rather large pilots
in my aircraft at times and it worked out alright because having them bigger helped you to actually see them when they were up in the air.
