jeez, I dont know if I have the extra skill to paint on the outside. More detailled masking and such I think would be needed.
My thought other than the primer like color, is a dark read. Again, I havent found a lexan paint thats a DARK red, they were all bright.
My other thinking is that the seems (door jams and such) If I painted them 1st with a color that was a shade darker than the body color that would look more scale. Ive seen many bodies where the seems and such were drawn over with a black marker. I get the effect attempted, but the black marker stands out too much against the body color.
Ill have to see what options my LHS has.
Maybe if I paint the body color on the inside (a darker color) and then do 1 body panel on the outside a different color....to look like a replacemnt part.
I also have to buy new links. I have 98mm front and rear and the front especially is too far forward. I bought some 91mm hoping they will be short enough.
well if you back it with a dark color like black it get a
LOT darker, and likewise if you back with a bright color like white it gets brighter, and make it pop
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRV23&P=7 backed with black I imagine would be quite dark, but it would take experimentation you could also mix a drop or so of black in the paint itself. I've done that to darken paint colors in the past. I think I've done 1 black to 7 of the color, but it takes some experimentation so just use a piece of scrap lexan
