Yes I did do some testing with this and my experience was that the plugs lasted only about a 1/2 hour of running. It has been a little while and others may be having better experience with this. We also experimented for a while with standard glow plugs and E85 gas with some success but again had a plug longevity problem. In the end we like the ability to control exactly the ignition point with the electronic ignition.
