Default RE: 30cc homelite engines

jboy, I convert weed wacker and chainsaw engines for aircraft and most others that do to will tell you we wont give much for'em. I dont but used weed wackers at yard sales, I find enough people that when I tell them what I do with the engines they offer me all types of them for free. I have a whole garage full of "give'me" engines. I would buy "new" ones for the simple fact that they are new. The cost of converting the type of engine you have would be about $40-$50 depending on how much work you can do for yourself. So to most flyers I know that like to use "weeddie" motors your might get 40-60 bucks. As far as parts go.. I buy new carbs on ebay all week for $10 that retail for 40 or more. It would be tough to part out the motor for more money.
