Right now I am flying a Sig Fazer that I built from a kit last winter and it is my go to plane. Flew perfect from the first flight and I have done nothing to it but add fuel and fly. That's the kind I like.

YEA NOT many people who have the patience to actually "Build" something
from scratch now-days ; but the result usually is like what you describe !!
An ARF or a Bind & fly, is what people prefer now ; but Ya don't get the same
quality workmanship from a $2 a day factory worker , as a guy who is Dreaming
of Flying his machine when he's finished with his build.
Lots of Heli guys still build from kits though ; not so with the airplane people, they
prefer to watch TV instead of actually making their stuff !!
My Pheonix Extra 330S ARF, looks Nothing like the stock version, all the defects have
bin re-worked and the plane has bin recovered .
Really wish Pheonix would made a KIT version of this Extra 330S , then i wouldn't
need to worry about if the factory worker building my plane was having a Bad Day and
forgot to put glue on my fire-wall, ( Like the one on My plane) !!! i was Not happy with That .
