I've never seen a magnet skinned, including countless kits, ARFs, jets and giant scale planes. The 'skin' is attached to the structure on the outside of the magnet, so there's no increase in attachment strength. The fuselage foam for the metal screw was thin, so I cut a small area out and epoxied in a hard balsa block.
