Yes, I did RTFM for once and started with a 10x6 prop. I did not get in the recommended two tanks of gas before switching to the 11" prop because the 10x6 was inadequate for the plane/altitude combination. I'll just do 3-4 tanks on the 11" prop before going to a 12" or 13" one. All in all, the manual's recommended two tanks for a 10" prop and two tanks for an 11" prop before switching to your final preference is not much of a break in period. That's about 32 oz of gas compared to my DLE 20's 2 gallons (plus!) for break in. I guess it will be broken in when it quits spewing out all the black goo! And there was a LOT of it, I guess due to the 20:1 oil ratio.
