Default RE: New Evolution 10cc gas engine

ORIGINAL: Spridal

I was able to maiden my Meridian and Evolution 10cc combo today. The engine fired up and ran reliably right out the box with no needle changes. I was only able to get two flights but was very happy with the performance and reliability. I replaced the gaskets after the first flight as they leaked. Also, be sure to tighten down the muffler bolt as the o-ring leaks badly. I'm not sure if its because of the break in process or not but she spits out a great deal of black residue. I'm hoping it will go away after break-in. I hope to get more flights in tomorrow so that I can provide a more in depth review.
That's great news! I had simiiliar observations about the muffler screw and bolts coming loose. It does create a lot black goo, too and I hope it decreases as it breaks in. I eneded up using red RTV to help seal the muffler chambers and loctite for the bolt. I haven't flown it again to see how well it works, but from past experience, it should do fine. How did the Meridian fly? I'm looking for a good airframe for this little beast.
