Either of those engines should work very well. I haven't had one, but all you should need would be thin CA, 30 minute epoxy, a hobby knife, and some fairly standard tools. A rotary tool might be nice if you have one, but I wouldn't buy one just for this.
Of course you'll need the radio equipment and all the flight accessories like, fuel, starter, glow ignitor, pump....
Our Scale Fly-In is tomorrow in Westborough if you can make it out there. Should be quite a few nice planes, if the weather forecast doesn't scare too many away.
