Information on the Kitty Hawk?
I was in Toyworld the other day and saw a small plane called the Kitty Hawk. It was like one of those Aerobird models but was a lot smaller. It had two small electric motors on either side of the fuselage behind the wing. The radio was a two channel and to climb the motors increased their speed whilst to descend they simply decreased. To turn one motor would decrease whilst the other increased in speed.
I am wondering if anyone knows much about these planes. I was thinking of buying one for my three year old son so I can teach him to fly at the local park. They were only $119 Aust and whilst I know that they are probably not going to fly like an expensive electric model I just want to make sure that it will at least fly on calm days.
My other option is to build him a spad glider with an old 2 channel radio I have. But we dont have any slopes here where I live so I am not sure if it would fly just by throwing it.
Any suggestions,
Thanks,
Troy.
