The Tech Aero IBEC works fine on any CD ignition set-up and any size engine. I had a small hand in its development so I know first hand; Ed Alt the designer and supplier (Mr Tech Aero) is a friend of mine.

It's likely the most tested device of its kind on the market. Ed and I used at least 10 different radios early in its development to checkrange lossdue RFI, and Ed used at least 10 more by himself when evaluating the IBEC's filtering and optical isolation.

I use the IBEC on 30-60cc gas engines, Ed uses it on his YS 4 strokes that are run on CDI. And many IMAC guys are running the unit on much larger engines. It's the same unit for all applications.

Another great thing about it is the weight (around 18 grams) which makes it a cinch for the 10cc or smaller powerplants. I set mine up to arm on the retract switch...very safe and convenient
