So true, John. They are probably the best trainer around.

I flew one for the first time, at a club meet-and-greet where we had a club "open house". It was slow and deliberate and a joy to fly. We had several new people on the buddy box with an instructor. Every new person - meaning someone that had never flown RC before, successfully flew it with the instructor.

As usual, it started out somewhat clumsy, but the new students got the hang of it pretty quickly and managed to enjoy the flight time.
