out2pasture, the overlapping seams arereplicated with the tape as you stated. One of the drawbacks of using this method is that all of the seams can't be done in one shot, unlike using panel tape which can all be done in one application. Wasn't a big deal though, just mask off the areas that you don't want overspray to get on. When spraying you are concentrating the paint at the taped seam tying to fill the gap. I reduced the fan pattern on my gun to better focus the spray pattern at the seam. After letting the paint dry I lightly sanded the top of the tape before removing the tape from the fuse. Some minor sanding/blending may have to be done before taping off your next panel. I did my entire fuse in two applications. I was very happy with the results from only using one thickness of tape, the edge was very pronounced and should show well when paint is applied.</p>
