PS ,
Our closest thing to a ''License'' would have to be the oddly named ''Turbine Waiver'' , due to in fact having to demonstrate skills with Turbine powered Model Aircraft to pass among other things a flight test .
Lets ALL join hands and pray that the ''Big Truck Guys'' don't band together to require such tests for ALL of RC model aircraft . In their self important views , only THEY would have the knowledge of who should ''pass'' or ''fail'' , and that will be the final stranglehold on a once happily unregulated , or more properly spoken , SELF regulated , hobby that needs NO such ''License'' , ''Regulation'' , or whatever the ''Big Truck Guys'' wanna call it .
Some people just ain't happy till they're tellin OTHER people how THEY should live .

Toy plane license , , indeed !
What Hoss is refering to is the requirement for competition. Call the membership card a "license" to compete in AMA sanctioned events. Been that way for years. One does not need/require a license/membership card to fly, only to compete in sanctioned events.
