Go to Radio Shack. Get a pair of insulated aligator clips. Clip one to the top of the glow plug and the other to any convenient place on the engine.

I used to start all of my engines this way. Works really well when usig a power panel. A bit annoying compared to a little glow ignitor. (I hate stringing wires which can get in the prop...)
