Default RE: help needed for DLE30 rear corb

Checklist is right about checking the timing , I have several DLE 30's and every one had incorrect timing . Re-set the timing to 28 to 30 degrees BTDC. There are a few videos on here that show how to do that. Be sure you are using an NGK CM6 plug not the Chinese plug from DLE .
The "factory settings" on the carb are only a base setting to get the engine running and will need to be correctly adjusted for your engine/ atmospheric conditions .
The DLE 30 engines run hot when breaking in. Be sure you have proper cooling ventilation on your cowl setup . The engine will get hot quick and will loose power and quit if it isn't getting enough fuel and enough cooling .

I highly recommend that you have someone local who is experienced with gas engines help you learn the details of setting up and tuning them . It may save you some headaches and possibly save an airplane .
