RE: esc compatability
Hi
If it is an old Tam King Tiger (vintage) it will be more likely the single motor clutch driven type. If so the Clark or any other board designed for twin motor control will not be great for the ESC portion. In my vintage clutch driven tanks I have used a Tamiya ESC designed for their RC trucks - I also swapped the motor out for a 55 turn truck puller motor to give more torque and take the speed down to a more realistic level but this is not essential. The Tamiya ESC has been compatible with my Futaba 9C (2.4Ghz) which I have also used for flying in the past so may be OK with your JR gear but you would need to try it out. There are plenty cheap 2.4Ghz setups though that are mentioned in other recent threads if you do a quick search and these offer an inexpensive option if you find the JR was an issue.
The other option with the single ESC as above is fitting sounds at a later time can be done easily with a Benedini card. I have done this in my King Tiger and old Leo 1A4 and the sounds are superb.
The above is not the only way to go but works for me.
