Nimh?
Talk about living in the past.
Exactly what I thought!! Talk about voltage spikes to the low side!! This is also why I don't use A123 batteries, due to voltage spikes to the low side. Personlly my choice, and I use this set up in my 1/8 scale F-18, CARF Flash, CARF Viper, CARF Extra 2.6, and my 44% CARF Giles. Again, this is my personal choice that I have had great success over the last 6 years, provides constant 5.9-6V to the reciever with NO voltage spikes to the low side, as is a snap roll, or other high energy use manuever. I start with dual 7.4 2S lipo into a Fromco Wolverine dual switch(love them, due to they fail ON, and they draw each battery down equally) from the switch to dual Fromco Sahara regulators, with dual leads to the receiver. I have hundreds of flights on this type of set up on all of my planes.
