Just thought I'd update what I chose as a replacement for my Tamiya style plugs.

I purchased 20 pairs of EC3 connectors from Hobby King, which came in 2 bags of 10 pairs.

The only bad thing was that my order had QC issues, because in one bag someone only counted to 10 female connector pins, rather than the 20 I should have received to complete 10 pairs of plugs
The good thing is, that after a few pictures of what I received, & an email to Hobby King, a couple days later they have given me store credit enough to purchase another entire bag of the EC3 plugs.
So I can't complete 5 of the 10 plugs from the one bag because they aren't sending 10 female pins out to me, but they responded quickly & I'm OK with how they handled it with credit this time ... just hope this doesn't happen often with future orders.

Below is just a shot of all the EC3 plugs & what I already completed with several change overs on my batteries, charger connectors, & one tank ... minus the 10 missing female ends




The below image is the new connector in my KV-1 ... & I really like them. Very easy to solder to pins, easy to put together, the plugs prevent misalignment issues, & they connect very tightly with great pin contact.
They don't pull apart & release as easily as the Tamiya style plugs that I had, & I do have to wiggle them a bit when pulling them apart, but at least they aren't loose & I can get them apart with my hands easily enough for me without tugging on the wires themselves.

So rather than experiment more with another plug like the XT-60, I'm going to stick to using these going forward, because a couple of my Tamiya style plugs were already giving me connection issues, & these seem like a good enough replacement.
