I've have been thinking about what to use to give a nice finished look around the cockpit opening and here's what I used. I bought some black vacuumhose from a local auto parts store and sliced it lengthwise with a single egde razor blade. Using some Duco Cement,I inserted the narrow applicator tip into the vacuum hose and layed a nice thin bead inside. It was easy to slip the tubing over the balsa sheeting, and when it dries I will better align the ends which are slightly misaligned. Looks good and it was dirt cheap...
Bah!I could have used that idea! I took a section of black heat shrink tubing to outline the dash on my Model 44, but it creases on the curve. This would have worked much better. Next time.
