The biggest thing you need to worry about with the co-pilot is the sensitivity setting. Set everything up according to the instructions but set the sensitivity to half or below. If you have the sensitivity too high you will find it hard to control your aircraft when in the air. You can start low and increase it if you feel it is not enough, better than starting with a high setting and realizing you do not have control of the plane. I would also suggest setting it up to turn off and on with one of the channels on your radio.
