The only thing that's important when it comes to drifting is 4wd, locked differentials and hard drift tires. Additionally, you don't want a very fast brushless motor, a middle brushed or very mild brushless motor will give all the speed you need. Many prefer brushed motors for drifting as the power delivery is smoother. Belt driven cars have better balance and less torque effect, but if you will be drifting outdoors, shaft may be better for reliability (stones in belts kill them quick).
Everything else is suspension geometry setup and practice, practice, practice.
