RE: looking for a new buggy
John, I agree the 810 is a monster. My neighbor has one and he is not easy on it. One day we were bashing around his yard when he got the idea to angle one of his stones he uses as a flower bed edging. He was hitting this rock and launching into a tree and watching it tumble down. It's a tough buggy. I personally want a full size 8th. I know the 2.0 is awesome, just new it's out of my price range and I don't like spending more than $200 on a used rc unless I know the person I bought it from.
Rccheech, I'm not offended. I understand about Redcats reputation. Many people have had bad experiences with them. I myself have not. I think for the price you get a lot. There customer service must have been terrible because I've heard many horror stories about it. All I can say is their newer vehicles are a good value for someone who couldn't just walk into a hobby shop and buy a $600 Revo. I'm not trying to compare a $320 Avalanche to the Revo, but it's just the reality of it. Many people get scared away from this hobby because of cost and with brands like Redcat/exceed in the mix, at least these people get a chance to get their feet wet.
